In the winter Crystal River is the vacation location
of choice for the endangered Manatee.
When winter causes the sea tempatures to drop,
the manatees swim up the spring feed rivers to keep warm.
In florida, spring water is 72 degrees year round, so
while we wore wetsuits to visit, the manatees are quite comfortable.
